Kingdom Living Now — Living in the Kingdom waiting for the King!
The kingdom of God has several facets:
1. The Lord is the Sovereign of all the heavens, this universe, and Earth (Exodus 3:14; And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am:) therefore, 2. His kingdom is sovereign, -- 1 Timothy 6:15b.— ". . . God is the blessed and only Ruler. He is the King of all kings and the Lord of Lords." 3. His earthly kingdom requires repentance and new birth (John 3:3-6; Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16). John 3.3, Jesus answered, “I assure you, everyone must be born again. Anyone who is not born again cannot be in God’s kingdom.” Acts 2:38 ERV, Peter said to them, “Change your hearts and lives [repent] and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Then God will forgive your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Mark 16:16 CEV, Anyone who believes me and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe me will be condemned. 4. God reigns in the hearts of His children in this world in preparation for the next. Ezekiel 11:19, And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh . 5. The work begun on earth (the Christian Church) will find its completion in heaven. Jesus said— "I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." (Matthew 16:18). John 17:21, That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. — www.gotquestions.org (summary) The Kingdom Promised in the Word
"And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever . . . And now, O LORD God, You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant" (2Samuel 7:16, 2Samuel 7:28). For all who would respond in faith like David, a place would be given in that everlasting kingdom! The Kingdom Begun Following the arrest of John the Baptist (Matthew 4:12) the promised kingdom is what Jesus declared when He began His ministry here on earth. "From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand' " (Matthew 4:17). The church (the body of believers) thereby, is an integral part of the spiritual kingdom on earth in which believers reside. "And I say also to you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it". (Matthew 16:18). Please click link to proceed: Explore
